Let’s try this again

I’m not writing much at work lately. So I’ll try to get going on my blog again.

 The weather here in Gilroy, CA is rotten. For outside that is; it might be perfect for knitting. I have a guernsey sweater sittng on my lap and I am finishing the back section. Then I just might be able to start on sleeves.

Photo taking opportunities are few and far between right now. I fall asleep at night trying to figure out where I can photograph my completed (even blocked) wedding ring shawl. I take it out of its hiding place when I’m feeling down and marvel at the miracle of blocking. When I finish the guernsey sweater, I can photograph it when it is being blocked.

Got a little extra money this month from a bonus (little amount, but enough to finance some more knitting), so I am getting some stash enhancement for a shawl for me, some extra fine merino to figure out what to do with and more Zephyr for a christening shawl, Estonian style. It will be the second time I knit it because after I washed it, I found some grime that wouldn’t come out. As it was to be a gift I just couldn’t send it to the recipient. So back to the drawing board. And this time, the yarn will be new and it will live in plastic.

That’s enough for now. I’ll try on my next post to have some reason for writing.
